The Lorien Legacies by Pittacus Lore // I started this series after I watched the movie. The movie was great, this book was not. Now there are just too many books in this series for me to even care.

The Immortals by Alyson Noel // I started this series a few years ago because I had a box set of the first three books. Sure, I enjoyed them, but not enough to continue on.

Hourgalss series by Myra McEntire // I probably would continue this one if I still owned it, but I lent it to a friend and never got it back. It was enjoyable, but not great.

Paranormalcy series by Kiersten White // I remember loving how fun this book was, but I didn't love it enough to continue on. If you're looking for a humorous supernatural series, definitely check it out.

Darkness Before Dawn series by J.A. London // I remember thinking this reminded me too much of Julie Kagawa's series, so I put it down.

Graceling Realm series by Kristin Cashore // I remember this was too much for me. I didn't enjoy it and the book was a brick.

The Hybrid Chronicles by Kat Zhang // I remember thinking this one was gonna be interesting, but it kind of let me down.

Beautiful Creatures series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl // I only ever picked this one out to read because of the movie that was coming out. Sadly, I liked the movie more.

The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes // I received this for a review a few years ago and enjoyed it, but once again it was just an okay book that I didn't feel the need to continue on with.

The Taking series by Kimberly Derting // I really liked this one, but kind of forgot about it.

What book series will you not be continuing?

  1. I never finished the I Am Number Four series either! Or the Darkness Before Dawn series! Ooooops.

And I think I finished the Paranormally series... and it wasn't worth it. The first book was the best imo. So you're not missing anything :)

  2. I keep umming and ahhing over whether I should read Beautiful Creatures because I do love witches, but I've seen this series on so many lists this week that I'm thinking I probably shouldn't. Great list!

  3. I actually just recently finished The Hourglass Trilogy and The Taking trilogy! Both were good, though in regards to the Hourglass trilogy I had pretty much forgotten the first two books! I did read Paranormalcy and Darkness Before Dawn. I felt like the latter reminded me of Elizabeth Richards' trilogy and the wires were crossing because the storylines were a tad similar.

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  4. I probably won't be continuing the Paranormalcy series either. I read the first one ages ago and quite liked it but it didn't blow me away.

  5. I love the Paranormalcy trilogy. I understand why you aren't continuing with the series, but it's one of my favorite paranormal trilogies. I don't think I even made it through the first book of Beautiful Creatures. I have seen the movie since then and don't care to read the rest of the series. Thanks for sharing this post.

  6. The Castor Chronicles and the Graceling series were two I really enjoyed. The Naturals is one I was planning on starting too. I hope I like it more than you did.

  7. Good call with Beautiful Creatures honestly. I liked it okay I guess when I first read it but... meh. I don't think I'd have finished it now honestly. I keep meaning to start The Taking hahha so I guess it is just one of those easy to forget about books, oops? I have been kind of wary of Graceling too maybe I will just skip it altogether! Great picks!

  9. I really enjoyed Graceling but it's been more than eight years and now I have no interest in revisiting the series.

  11. Oh man, I was disappointed of the end of Evermore for sure. Beautiful Creatures was a different story. I loved it when I read it but I don't think it would be a pick for me these days. The others were never in my tbr so... ::shrugs::

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  12. I didn't finish a lot of these series as well. I loved Graveling, but never picked up the other books! I also didn't finish Beautiful Creature series, Evermore, Paranormally or The Taking series. Too many books and not enough time!

  13. I remember hating I Am Number Four, so you are not alone! Paranormalcy didn't really hold my attention enough to continue either.

  14. UGH, BEAUTIFUL CREATURES! I bought all the books, watched the movie--which was horrible, then read the first book. I made a huge mistake with that series. And I Am Number Four was a mess for me.
