POTTERMORE HOUSES

So, since we are all book nerds here, I'm assuming that everyone has heard about Pottermore. If not, it's a website created by J.K. Rowling which is all about the wonderful world of Harry Potter. The site is filled with more information about the world that she created, and there's also a sorting hat quiz which tells you which house you're in.

I took the quiz many years ago back when Pottermore first began, and to my surprise, I got Slytherin! I never thought that I would be considered Slytherin, though the more I read about the Slytherin traits, I saw that I do fit into Slytherin in more ways than one.

(By the way, Slytherins totally aren't that bad. I thought they were just the evil people but there's way more to them than their evilness.)

ANYWAYS.

The sorting hat was recently put back up on Pottermore so I decided to try it out again, and yet again, I got Slytherin! However, I've been seeing that tons of people have gotten different houses this time around!

So, my question to you is: WHAT HOUSE ARE YOU IN? DO YOU THINK IT MAKES SENSE FOR YOUR PERSONALITY?

  1. I got Slytherin too! I took it years and years ago when it was new and got Gryffindor, then a couple years later retook it to get Slytherin. But the new test gave me slytherin again. Amusingly, it only gave me like five questions before it decided.

  2. I got Slytherin every time I did the Pottermore quiz, and I redid it with the new version of the quiz and got Slytherin again. I used to think I was Gryffindor, mainly because it was the house of the 'good' guys, but as I got older I started to feel I was more of a Slytherin; and I was right! :D

  3. I am a Slytherin for life. Every test I've taken has told me so. But you are right, everyone is talking about how their houses have changed. I'm afraid to take the new quiz. What if I'm one of them. Talk about identity crisis.

  4. I got Hufflepuff both time I've done the quiz. Apparently I'm all about the kindness and trust! Haha. I do think it fits quite well with peoples personalities. I'm not clever so couldn't be Ravenclaw and I'm not particularly mean (unless hungry!) and as I'm scared of the dark they would never let me into Gryffindor! Hufflepuff seems a nice fit for me :)

  5. I can't even get into his site lol. I forgot my password and it won't sent me the email to reset. Oh my. Anyway, I would probably be Slytherin. Muahahaha! :)

  6. I always, ALWAYS thought I'd be a Ravenclaw but the first time ever I got sorted into Pottermore, I got Hufflepuff. Back then, I was disappointed, but now I've grown to love that House and it's traits. Anyway, I'd lost my login info for that account and when I created a new one, I ended up in Gryffindor. I wasn't sure if it was really me BUT I was thrilled to be in the same house as Harry (♥), Ron, Hermione and all of them. So when we were allowed to get sorted again, I was really curious where I'd end up...and I got sorted into Gryffindor again! So I guess that's really me ;) Slytherins DEFINITELY aren't all bad - some of my best blogger friends are Slytherin :)

  7. I always get Hufflepuff and I think that's pretty accurate for me. I don't like this new Pottermore, I don't think. When I first started on it, I liked all the interactive stuff on there. So when people started talking about getting sorted on Pottermore again I decided to go play around on there again and it's not fun anymore! So lame! But I still got Hufflepuff after being resorted so that's good!

  8. I guess I've never tried but I suppose I should! I would like to know. I can assume I know but I'll probably be surprised when it's something else.

  9. I was a Ravenclaw the first time around, and now I'm Griffindor. Both suit me, though.

  10. Every time I take any quiz on this site, or a related quiz, I end up being a Ravenclaw. I guess it's accurate because it's the house I get every single time.

  11. I reclaimed my house (Slytherin) instead of retaking the quiz. I gotta admit that I was afraid to retake the quiz (what if they put me in Gryffindor????) after hearing about everyone's houses being changed. Nice to see someone else in Slytherin though. I don't come across THAT many.

  12. I always thought I was going to be Slytherin, but I ended up being Griffindor. I haven't done the new test, so we'll see if that change and I'm Slytherin after all.

  13. I'm a fellow Slytherin who got sorted into the same house twice! I didn't mind being a Slytherin, especially after discovering that Merlin was one. In some ways it is wrong, I am not a stereotypical Slytherin, but is strangely fitting. I was nervous I would get resorted on Pottermore, but then I figured my personality has changed since I last got sorted, there is every chance I now belong in a different house. I'm glad I'm in the same one still, though. It would feel a bit wrong in some ways.

  14. I was glad to see the sorting hat back again, I can't remember if I did it last time, but I always thought of myself as a Gryffindor, when I did it this time I ended up getting Gryffindor, but a lot of my friends were Slytherin!

  15. RAVENCLAW! :) I absolutely love this house. When Pottermore first opened only for Beta users, which I was part of, I kind of manipulated the test to become a Gryffindor and then I got that result. Short after Pottermore opened for everyone I created a new account and tried the test again, this time answering honestly and my result was Ravenclaw. I began to read more about the house and I was really happy because I realized it was the perfect fit for me (although sometimes I feel like a Hufflepuff (because I really like to help people)). Since then I always got Ravenclaw in any sirious test I took and now that Pottermore reopened I got it again and I'm really happy about it. I really miss the old Pottermore though... But they said that you will be able to figure out your patronus and I really want to know what mine would be! :)

  16. Have you tried hexrpg.com? You get to fill in a manual sorting app and it is actually read by a real person. Check it out! :)

  17. I got Slytherin when I first joined Pottermore a few years ago, and I did the sorting again last week, and I still got Slytherin. It's perfect for me, I have always felt like belonging to Slytherin more than any other houses.
