Blog Tour: Lola Carlyle's 12-Step Romance & Giveaway!

Title: Lola Carlyle's 12-Step Romance
Author: Danielle Younge-Ullman
Publisher: Entangled Teen
Release Date: May 5, 2015

Lola Carlyle is lonely, out of sorts, and in for a boring summer. So when her best friend, Sydney, calls to rave about her stay at a posh Malibu rehab and reveals that the love of Lola's life, Wade Miller, is being admitted, she knows what she has to do. Never mind that her worst addiction is decaf cappuccino; Lola is going to rehab.
Lola arrives at Sunrise Rehab intent solely on finding Wade, saving him from himself, and-naturally-making him fall in love with her... only to discover she's actually expected to be an addict. And get treatment. And talk about her issues with her parents, and with herself. Plus she has insane roommates, and an irritatingly attractive mentor, Adam, who's determined to thwart her at every turn.
Oh, and Sydney? She's gone.
Turns out, once her pride, her defenses, and her best friend are stripped away, Lola realizes she's actually got a lot to overcome... if she can open her heart long enough to let it happen.

This book was such an enjoyable read! I instantly adored Lola Carlyle, because she was willing to do anything for Wade and her best friend in rehab. I felt bad for her at times and I just loved going along the ride of ups and downs with her. My favorite character would have to be Adam, who was super sweet from the way beginning. He was just always there for Lola, and not just because he was supposed to be next to her all the time at rehab because he worked there!

I felt horrible for Lola because her parents were always fighting. What makes it even worse is that they are both famous, so everyone knows about it. The longer that Lola stayed in rehab, the more she realized that maybe she needed her parents to be in her life a bit more.

I really loved how Lola was the daughter of Hollywood celebrities. No matter what people say, I know that everyone loves reading books about celebrities and their kids! It's just so mystifying because none of us are celebrities ourselves. Imagine what it would be like to have so much money that when you're sad you could just go ahead and buy tons of clothes to get over the sadness. Not just any clothes either... super expensive clothes, like $600 pants. That's what life is like for Lola. She even just gives clothes away to her roommates in rehab and she's like "No it's fine I'll just buy more!"

Lola was such a strong character, and she was willing to do whatever she had to do in order to get what she wanted, which was extremely respectable. I'd even say that she's a daredevil of sorts, especially because she put together this scheme in order to make herself look like a drunk in order to get into rehab to see Wade and make sure that her childhood friend was okay. This book was extremely funny as well! I found myself laughing a lot, which is always a great addition to a book in my opinion! I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun, fast, summer read!
