Top Ten Books for Readers Who Like Blue Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

So once I saw this week's prompt, I immediately started thinking of genres, but since I'd probably just do science fiction, I thought that instead I should recommend my favorite books with blue covers!

  1. OMG...I totally almost just did this topic! I still haven't thought of anything to do...no Top Ten Tuesday yet because I can't think of anything. I work in a bookstore and our joke is that people often come in not knowing anything about the book they're looking for except that "the cover is blue". I was just about to give up and make a list of ten books with blue covers when yours popped up on my blogger feed. Those are good choices. I'd have one of them on my list (Under the Never Sky), and maybe Shiver. I still need to read the rest. I have The Bone Season and Time Between Us. Would you mind if I used this topic still? I will link to your blog in my post.

    2. I just tried doing something different since my favorite book cover color is blue. :) That's so funny that we had the same idea for a topic! Of course, I don't mind that you used the topic! I've linked to yours in mine too. :D

  4. LOVED Variant. It was a Sunshine State Reader for this year, so I read it for the middle school book club. The ending of the sequel really let me down, though.

  5. OOh nice! Second time I am seeing this topic! And still no 13 to Life by Shannon Delany! That was by far my most favorite blue cover ever! I was a little obsessed with it! LOL!

  6. I was tempted to do a beautiful covers list but I decided to save that for another day and just go with zombies instead! I read a few of these a few years back but I don't think I finished any of them. I'm kinda veering away from YA books a lot more now. I do have some nice blue covers on my books though! I might do a series of colour themed covers on my blog just for fun...

  7. I've read Shiver and I thought it was OK, and I like Under the Never Sky much better! I haven't read any of the others, so I'll have to check them out! I really liked your topic pick for the week! I didn't think about going by covers!

  12. Krystianna, I love what you did with this week's topic! So, so clever. While I haven't read a SINGLE book on your list (how is this even possible!?), I've got the Maggie Stiefvater series on my TBR list. And I keep seeing Me and Earl and the Dying Girl showing up everywhere...what is that one about?

    1. Thank you! You should definitely check out Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. I'd say that it's kind of along the lines of The Fault in Our Stars because cancer and death are involved but it also has a humor aspect to it as well, which makes you confused on what to feel!

  13. Oh gosh, this is so cleverI I haven't actually read any of these but The Bone Season is on my shelf, begging to be read (red? haha)!
I think Aristotle and Dante Discover The Secrets to the Universe is probably my favourite blue-covered book, and also Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang.
P.S: gotta ask: are your bookshelves sorted by colour? ;)

  17. What a fun take on this week's topic! I adore Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl's cover, even if I wasn't a huge fan of the book. Time Between Us is another gorgeous one, and Noggin's cover is so unique.
