  1. Haha, aww I agree with all your points especially when my favorite character gets killed of & hyped books that you dislike. Great list!

  2. When I run out of shelf space . . . DUDE. That is the bane of my existence. And I have no room for any more bookcases and WHAT IS MY LIFE?

  3. I agree with you on all of this (especially in the romance department).

  4. Cover changes really annoy me! There have been a few books recently that were super hyped and I read them and was like...ummm....what? Really? Then I wonder if there's something wrong with me so I search the reviews to see if anyone else had the same thoughts as me. I'm relieved when I find some. Great list!

  5. Arrgh, book cover changes in the middle of a series makes me so mad! I LOVE matching covers, and it annoys me so much when I can't get a complete matching set :( And #4, Insta-love needs to disappear ASAP!

  6. Love this list Krystianna! I can relate to all of these so much, especially when books are over hyped, I remember reading Perks of Being a Wallflower and yeah it was great but not as amazing as everyone made it out to be- in my opinion :')

Oh and I also too hate it when a film adaption leaves out bits in books that I enjoy, we should re-create the films and add them back in :D

  7. I don't understand non-readers/people who don't enjoy reading books!! How can someone not like to read books??? Here's a link to my TTT for the week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2015/02/top-ten-tuesday-ten-book-related.html

  8. I love your post! It's so annoying when people say they hate books/reading. Honestly, if you find the right books, you'll love it. They are just reading the wrong stuff for them. Waiting for sequels drives me crazy, ugh; especially when it feels like forever. I try to hold off on reading books until either all of the books in the series are out or at least two of the books.

  9. I completely agree with your points! It annoys me when the characters instantly fall in love with each other and when you have to wait for so long for a sequel to be published!!

  10. I can totally agree - to 100%, especially with point 1. Great list.

  11. Cover changes can be annoying - especially when Kindle automatically updates to the movie tie in or something. The don't believe the hype thing seems to be happening more and more these days as I read more blogs and Goodreads reviews. Still, a little difference in opinion is a good thing now and then. Makes for a livelier blogosphere!

  12. I totally agree about the cover changes!! Great list!

  13. I hate cover changes too, particularly mid-series. It ruins how nice they look on the shelf. Running out of bookshelf space isn't a problem though - it means that you get to buy an entire new one to fill!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh my gosh, you read my mind with all of them. And just today my co-worker was telling me how he does not like to read, and I replied "I feel sorry for non-readers"
    Enjoy your week!

  15. I seriously hate it when the character chooses the wrong part of the triangle to go after!! Grr! And the waiting game! Why can't we just do away with series and instead make really, really long books!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I am all over this list! Cover changes drive me nuts, but mainly when I like the new cover more than the one I own. Also, I live in terror of #5.

  17. I agree with these so much. Although, I've found the love triangle one irritates me more often in TV shows...in books, I'm usually more bothered when I really like both guys and one of them ends up getting hurt/dying/falling for someone else in such a contrived way that I hate it (e.g. the way the Wither trilogy ends or the Adrian/Dimitri situation in Vampire Academy). :)

  18. ALL.OF.THE.ABOVE.

But #2. NUMBER TWO. That one just... grinds my gears like none other. Especially when the cover was gorgeous, and then *incoherent* (I'm looking at you, Crewel). I am fine with it if the original cover was awful, but they better re-print the book to match! I mean, is that really so much to ask?? *okay, maybe it is, but still* I cannot express how excited I was when Bloomsbury reprinted Throne of Glass with the new cover. THAT is the only time cover change is acceptable.

  19. Oh god yes the first one.. I absolutely HATE love-triangles, but nine out of ten times I do have a bit of a favourite.. And when the main character goes to the other one I'm like 'no no nope nope don't do that you belong with the OTHER ONE!' And eight is really me with every book I read, every movie I watch and ever TV show. Every time I say 'oh I like that character, he/she's my favourite' they DIE. Ugh.

  20. I really dislike it when people, especially adults, say they don't read or don't like to read as if it's cool.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Great list. Shelf space issues...I can relate with that one.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I hate when a character I loved gets killed off! It's not fair!

    ReplyDelete
  23. You pretty much stated everything I hate in books! Love the gifs!

    ReplyDelete
  24. No. 10 is the worst! Especially when you read a book as soon as it comes out and stay up to read straight through. That would have been No. 11 on my list if I had kept going.

    ReplyDelete
  25. You have a great list here. And I totally get what you're saying about book covers. Sometimes, you just shouldn't do it. Other times, I understand, but then I feel like I need to get all the other ones in the same kind of cover like. I love that they changed Throne of Glass but with Anna and the First Kiss I liked the first 2 covers in the companions and then the third book they COMPLETELY changed it. Granted, I like those covers, but I'm just saying my set does not match. So that will have to change soon.

And I'm glad I'm not the only person who has a problem finishing a series.

    ReplyDelete
  26. What a great list! I can relate to so many of these. Insta-love bugs me too. And having to wait for sequels. Ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Great post! I too hate insta-love, wish I would have added it now! haha

    ReplyDelete
  28. I especially hate it when they change the cover direction mid-series

    ReplyDelete
  29. I totally agree with "When a book is hyped so much that I read it and expect too much." There are quite a few books are that are overhyped that I have high expectations. Then I read the books and I am disappointed because the books aren't as good as I expected them to be.

    ReplyDelete
  30. So many good ones! One of the hardest is waiting a year for a sequel.
I don't understand people who don't like to read.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love your GIFs!!!

I agree with all of your list :]

I try my hardest to avoid reading series that don't have all the books out yet, but sometimes i forget to check :]

    My Top Ten :]

  32. Yes to everything! I can't believe I forgot about cover changes and insta-love/love triangle pet peeves. I love the Up GIF :D

  33. Haha, I hate insta-love with a passion, but I totally love that Up-gif :)
Also, UGH! When the main character goes off with the WRONG guy from the love triangle it just kills me! I need the author to be shipping the same ship as I'm shipping, else it just won't work.
And also, when characters do something monumentally stupid and then whine about it? SO ANNOYING!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Good list!! I forgot about being disappointed because there's too much hype for mine!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Excellent list and gif selection. I can very much identify with these.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ohhh love triangles and insta love!! Urghhh I have yet to read a good love triangle and insta love is just....*shakes head in frustration* The hype machine is definitely real! I'm a blacksheep when it comes to hyped books because the majority of time I find them to be overhyped and I feel really bad about it too. Oh well lol. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Loved the gifs you used :)

  37. LOVE all your gifs. I especially sympathize with problems 7, 8, and 10. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great week! :D

  38. Oh my, I get so angry when #3 happens! You did it so shut up, take the responsibility and then try to save the day somehow! Makes me so disappointed in the characters. Hype killed many-many books for me, even ones that I previously loves because I got really annoyed when they were constantly mentioned as the best of the best.
    Awesome list! :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh my goodness. I'm dealing with #1 HARDCORE right now...SO ANGRY. Great list!

  40. Cover changes drive me crazy too, especially when I LOVED the original cover concept, Great list!

  41. Yes, all of these - especially cover changes when the first one was just perfect, thanks! And I hate insta-love (well, almost always; every now and then an author pulls it off, but it's rare), and the death of a favorite character - even a minor one - can leave me sad for days. (Hedwig. Fred! Dobby!!!! [sobs])

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thankfully, I've never actually had someone tell me they don't like books - because, I mean really, how do you even respond to that? I can understand not liking a book, but books in general? And I have so been there with number five. Everyone else LOVES the book, but me - well, it might have gotten the 'it was okay' if I was being generous.

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.

  43. You literally could have written this list for me, I agree with everything you said SO hard.
