15 Day Book Blogger Challenge Day 5!

Today I'm here to recommend you a tearjerker! Sadly enough, I haven't cried whilst reading a book. I don't know why, but I haven't. Same with movies or television shows. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing or if it's even normal... but it's true. I guess I can still recommend a sad book, though I didn't cry. I'll recommend Looking for Alaska by John Green. Like I said earlier, this caused me a huge book hangover!

  1. It seems like all of John Green's books are pretty sad. Have you read Fault in Our Stars? His books definitely need to be balanced by reading something light and fluffy after. I don't normally cry in books, either, but I actually did cry in the 4th book of the Violet Eden (Embrace) series. Like the last 10 chapters. ~Pam

  2. This is a really cool feature. I might have to join in way late!

But I agree with the previous commenter--The Fault in Our Stars is really sad as well. However, I'm like you--I don't cry at books and movies and TV shows! Until recently, that is. I still don't really cry when all my friends are bawling, but there are a couple books that have made me cry (and The Fault in Our Stars wasn't one of them!). The ones that have made me cry are Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta and Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. There may have been a couple more, but I can't remember any right now.
