Trendy Taglines #1!

Trendy Taglines is a meme that I came up with which features books based on their taglines-whether they be old or new. If you'd like to join in on the fun, link up below!
I decided to start mine off with some more recent books that have already came out.

5 years ago, I died. 178 minutes later, I woke up.
What happened 5 years ago that made you die? How are you waking up!?! I definitely wanna find out. I've been seeing tons of great reviews for Reboot, and I'd definitely like to give it a try sometime to see what all the fuss is about.

Will you be a survivor or a statistic?
Wait, there's statistics? And people are dying out? Yeah... I'm intrigued. I also think this cover is really different, which I like. I haven't seen many reviews on it either.

They destroyed before. Now we live. Okay, who's they? This makes me think of some alien or other species or something. I just want to read this book because it's definitely a dystopian...  that's clear from the tagline. I just want to find out what happens In the After. Hah! Did you see what I did there? Yeah, I'm punny.

What are some of your favorite taglines that draw you in? If you'd like to join in on this meme, just leave your link below and link to me in your post! You can take the picture as well if you'd like. :)

  4. I just love the tagline for REBOOT! It's what sold me on the book in the first place. This is such a fun feature!

  6. This is a cool feature! Taglines can definitely make me want to read a book, although they can also bug me if they're too cheesy. I love the one for Reboot, it makes me want to read it even more!

  8. Oh, I like this! It seems that good taglines are kind of a rarity--they're either really good, or really bad, it seems. But I hadn't heard of A Matter of Days before this, and it sounds really good! Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

  9. Whoever came up with taglines was clever. I'm generally a "sneerer" of taglines; a lot of times they mislead and sound overly dramatic. BUT, I still fall for them. ;) And that's why I say whoever came up with them was clever. ;)

  10. My favorite by far is for Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer. The front taglin says "Heads will roll...", but the back says "Let them eat cake...and die!"
