Main Character: Daisy Appleby

It started with a bus crash.
Daisy Appleby was a little girl when it happened, and she barely remembers the accident or being brought back to life. At that moment, though, she became one of the first subjects in a covert government program that tests a drug called Revive.
Now fifteen, Daisy has died and been Revived five times. Each death means a new name, a new city, a new identity. The only constant in Daisy's life is constant change.
Then Daisy meets Matt and Audrey McKean, charismatic siblings who quickly become her first real friends. But if she's ever to have a normal life, Daisy must escape from an experiment that's much larger--and more sinister--than she ever imagined.
From its striking first chapter to its emotionally charged ending, Cat Patrick's Revived is a riveting story about what happens when life and death collide.
In Revived by Cat Patrick, we follow Daisy Appleby as she is moved to a new town... again. Daisy was killed in a bus crash at the age of 4. She ended up being brought back to life by a new drug called Revive. There were many kids on the bus, but the drug only worked on about half of them. Because Daisy is accident-prone, she has been brought back to life 5 times by Revive. The only problem is that last time there were some troubles with trying to bring her back to life. Nobody knows why, but everyone knows that something is going on.

In her new town, Daisy becomes close with a girl named Audrey. She can't believe that Audrey doesn't have any more friends; she's really pretty and she's nice to everyone. Daisy also wonders why people always stare at Audrey in the hallways. We find out why later.

In one of her new classes, Daisy sees this guy named Matt. She instantly likes him. When she ends up going to Audrey's house for the first time, she finds that Matt is actually Audrey's brother. What a coincidence.

When Daisy finally finds a way to rise against God, the one who is in charge of the drug, there is a huge spin that nobody is expecting. I think that this was one of my favorite parts of the book. Someone that is very close to Daisy is actually in co hoots with God. This novel was different from anything that I've ever read before. This was Science Fiction mixed with Contemporary which I believe is definitely a fresh twist with literature. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for something new in the science fiction genre. I am definitely going to have to purchase Cat Patrick's other novel, Forgotten.
