Waiting on Wednesday (5)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.
For this meme, spotlight an upcoming release that you're excited for.

This week, I'm excited for Erasing Time by C.J. Hill.

"In this high-action and romantic futuristic adventure, there is no escape from the future for two contemporary girls pulled out of their own time.

When twins Sheridan and Taylor wake up 400 years in the future, they find a changed world: domed cities, no animals, and a language that’s so different, it barely sounds like English. And the worst news: They can’t go back home.

The twenty-fifth-century government transported the girls to their city hoping to find a famous scientist to help perfect a devastating new weapon. The moblike Dakine fights against the government, and somehow Taylor and Sheridan find themselves in the middle. The only way to elude them all is to trust Echo, a guy with secrets of his own. The trio must put their faith in the unknown to make a harrowing escape into the wilds beyond the city.

Full of adrenaline-injected chases and heartbreaking confessions, Erasing Time explores the strength of the bonds between twins, the risks and rewards of trust, and the hard road to finding the courage to fight for what you believe in."

Erasing Time by C.J. Hill will be released on August 28, 2012.

Photo and summary were found on Goodreads.com.

I have a question about bookshelves. How do you organize yours? Mine are currently organized alphabetically and I find it quite boring. I'm curious to see how you organize your bookshelves, so please leave a comment about it!

I also thought I'd let everyone know that I joined Goodreads. You can add me as a friend if you'd like. Here's the link to my profile!

  1. Nice pick. Erasing Time seems like it might be a great story.
I organize my shelf by series/author, but there's really no order. I'm a disgrace. ;-)

  2. I love books with sisters so the twins are the lure in this book for me.

My shelves don't have much of an order. Series are together but otherwise books are placed where I have space until I have the time/inclination to go through and completely organize them.

  3. :0 Wow Erasing Time sounds amazing! I really like the idea of having modern girls in a dystopia. I never really have an order for bookshelf's, unless you count all my favorite books in the book shelf in my room and the rest in my sister's or the closet bookshelf.

  4. Erasing Time sounds really interesting. And best of all only a couple of weeks to wait! My books shelves are organised by genre, then series. My favourite authors tend to get the best positions. :)

  13. Erasing Time sounds like it could be really interesting! The summary makes me
think a little bit about Across the Universe, but only because they have similarities. :) thanks for sharing!

  17. I may have to pick up the Gone books. I've heard good things. And Erasing Time sounds a little weird. I'll have to watch for reviews. As for bookshelf arrangement, my books are in boxes right now. So nothing is arranged on shelves except for the books I've bought in the last two years. And those are kind of arranged by size and/or the order I read them in. I kind of just toss them (kindly and nicely) onto the shelf once I'm done. Since I'll be moving in two weeks, I never took the time to organize the shelf...

  18. Great Pick! I'm excited about this one also and I just love the cover.

  19. That one sounds good! I LOVE Janette Rallison! Anything she writes is good - it's just weird that she chose to write this one under a pen name....

  26. Great pick, I'm excited about this one, too! My bookshelves are an absolute mess. I try to organize them by size but then I have series which I end up stacking them up horizontally. Somehow it ended up looking nice, even though I can never find anything haha

  27. Oohh this one looks like so much fun!! I love these types of books so I can't wait to get my hands on it either! Great pick!!

  28. OMG yes! This one sounds so good! Great pick.

Soooo, confession on my shelf situation... I have one tiny shelf and the books are not organized at all. LOL As long as the series as together I am happy. Then I have stacks on top of the shelf, with nowhere to go. :(

  29. I haven't heard of this one. Added it to my goodreads and I friend requested you. I don't really organize my shelves at all on goodreads. I am to lazy too. lol. =] Thanks for sharing and visiting My WoW

  30. Aaaaahhhh, I can't wait to read this one! Not only is it on my "to read" shelf on Goodreads, but it's also on my fairly new "must read" shelf as well, since my "to-read" shelf was way too big and hard to manage! ;) Great pick!

    ReplyDelete
  31. This sounds amazing! Sort of reminds me of Across the Universe. I wonder if there's a love triangle in the works. I hope not because, they're sisters! Great pick. Don't even mention my bookshelves! They're currently overflowing and a mess. Lol! Good luck with yours. :)

  32. Great pick! I can't wait for this one! It sounds so good and love the cover. Definitely have it on my list.

I organize my bookshelf in a really weird way but it works well for me. Top shelf are my top favorite books and my favorite classic books. Second shelf are signed books. Third shelf are my other favorite books and I try to keep all series together. Then bottom shelf are books I liked and the books that I need to read. :)
    Thanks for visiting my post!

On bookshelves: mine aren't organized at all haha, except that I've separated books that I've read from books I haven't. I've always wanted to organize mine by color, though!

    Thanks for stopping by! :)

  35. This one doesn't pull me in for some reason. I'll probably be kicking myself later.

As far as my book shelf, they are very haphazard except I try to keep the series books together and the giveaway book together . Other than they, it's a free for all!

  36. Hmmm... I'm not too sure about this one. The cover is pretty cool, but I'm not sure after reading the synopsis that this one is for me. I think I'll have to wait and read a few reviews, and then decide. :)

  38. Uhm. Not so sure about this one, but at least, it's coming out soon, so you won't have to wait much longer.

I'm bad at organising shelves. I don't have much space, and I'm not a tidy person, so I tend to pile them in my cupboard in random order. I have a few favourites on actual shelves and line them so that they look good together (the same size together, contrasting colours, things like that). I do keep series together, though.

Thanks for stopping by my WoW!

  41. Wow, this sounds great...they wake up 400 years in the future?!? Yeah, I'm going to have to read this one. :) Oh, and I organize my shelves alphabetically by author. At least, that's they way they are now. :P Who knows in a few weeks when I get the itch to reorganize them again. And I requested to add you on GR. :D

  42. This book sounds awesome! I'll definitely have to check it out!

I have two bookcases. On one of them I have all of my adult books, which I keep organized by genre like Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Historical Romance, etc. Then on my other one I have all of my YA books. I try to keep it organized by series.

    Added you on Goodreads! :)

  43. This book sounds interesting, I hadn't heard about it, so thanks for sharing! I organize my bookshelves by genre: one shelf for my dystopian books, one for my vampire books, one for my contemporary ones... Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  44. I used to have my shelves by author last name. But since I keep pulling books and stuffing them back in, they have sort of morphed by series and rating. The books I like/new additions are in the middle height shelf. The older books that I like are near the top. The boos I didnt really enjoy/okay reads are at the bottom. My bookcase is stuffed with books, so they're either stacked vertically or horizontally. Man I really a new book case.

  48. Earsing Time sounds really good!! And, I need a new bookshelf!! I've run out of room, so I'm stacking up books on the floor now! But, I like dividing them my genre or sometimes I color code... Also, I have a special spot for my favorite books!

  52. I am so, so excited about this book! It sounds awesome, great pick. And I don't organise my bookshelves. I know, it's terrible. But the books are all shelved and stacked randomly. I have some series shelved together, but that's the extent of my organisation! I am planning to change them though...maybe I'll colour code everything!

  53. Great pick! This one sounds so good! I just love the sound of the premise. Also, I've tried over the years to keep my bookshelves organized according to series and then if not a series hardback and paperback but now there just a jumbled mess, and I have to say I kind of like them better that way.

  54. Not long to wait now for this one! I can't wait to read it either! :) And as for my bookshelves, I organise them by genre. So my top shelf is contemporary, with books by the same author grouped together, then I have my HP and Twilight shelf, then a PNR shelf, a dystopian shelf and the classics are in a bookcase with all my cookbooks and non-fiction. :)
